The 18 municipalities in Gironès where the Consell Comarcal manages waste collection have achieved an average of 86.7% in selective waste collection during 2025, according to data from the Agència de Residus de Catalunya.

This figure places the service among the best-performing in the region, with 17 out of 18 municipalities exceeding 80% and 14 of them ranking among the top 50 in Catalonia. Juià (92.11%), Sant Joan de Mollet (91.27%), and Llambilles (90.47%) lead the rankings.
These results consolidate the door-to-door collection model and demonstrate the commitment of local councils and citizens to a more efficient and sustainable waste management, contributing to the objectives of Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy.
The Consell Comarcal del Gironès positively assesses these figures and thanks the involvement of the town councils and the collaboration of the citizens to move towards more responsible and environmentally friendly waste management.
