The incident occurred around 00:20 AM at the intersection of Avinguda Masnou and Carrer Florida. For reasons currently under investigation, the waste collection vehicle began to burn, producing large flames.

The fire not only affected the truck but also spread to six bins, two motorcycles, and a car parked nearby. Fortunately, there were no personal injuries.

The incinerated truck was part of the older fleet of collection vehicles. This incident occurs as the municipality is in the process of replacing both its garbage trucks and its bins.

After the flames were extinguished by emergency crews, a crane removed the truck. Subsequently, teams from Fomento, the company contracted for waste collection and cleaning services, carried out cleanup operations in the affected area to restore normalcy.
