The city of Mataró will host the 5th Trobada de Gegantes (Female Giants Meeting) from March 6 to 14, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the local figure Tomassa.

The event honors Tomassa, a giant from the Cerdanyola neighborhood known for representing women's visibility in traditional Catalan folklore. Giants from regions including Maresme, Osona, and Bages will join the festivities.
Activities include an exhibition at the Ateneu Centre Cultural and a major parade on Saturday, March 14. The main gathering will start at 5:00 PM at Plaça de Santa Maria, featuring figures from schools and neighborhoods across Mataró and Catalonia.
