The initiative, which will be in effect until October 1st, includes more trains on lines R1 (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat - Maçanet-Massanes) and R2, aiming to facilitate travel to the coasts of Maresme and Baix Llobregat during the summer months.
On line R1, seven additional trains per direction will be added between Barcelona and Calella on weekends and holidays. The frequency will be reduced to every 10 minutes between 10 AM and 12 PM, and between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM on key routes.
Regarding line R2, the Platja de Castelldefels station will receive 17 additional trains on weekends and holidays. This enhancement also benefits users of the Bellvitge-Gornal station, providing more options to access the coast.
In the southern direction, eight new services towards Platja de Castelldefels will be added between 9 AM and 1 PM. Returning towards Barcelona, nine more services will be incorporated between 4 PM and 8 PM, effectively doubling the train offering during peak return hours.
