Teachers from the Selva and Maresme regions held a slow-moving protest march in Tordera this Wednesday morning to demand better working conditions during a scheduled education strike.

The mobilization began at 7:30 AM at the Fibracolor avenue parking lot. From there, protesters marched toward the Can Bartolí roundabout, a major traffic hub where the N-II highway meets the roads to Blanes and Hostalric.
According to organizers, teachers from 40 educational centers in municipalities such as Tordera, Blanes, Lloret de Mar, and Pineda de Mar took part in the action to voice their professional grievances.
The educators are calling for effective measures to ensure high-quality public education. Key demands include an increase in school resources, a reduction in bureaucratic workload, and a recovery of lost purchasing power.
The march caused traffic delays at one of the busiest points in the local road network. This protest is part of a wider strike called for this Wednesday, February 11th, affecting schools across the territory.
