The Associació Sardanista La Nostra Dansa in Tordera commemorates its 50th anniversary throughout 2026 with fifty activities aimed at promoting the traditional Catalan dance.

The year of celebration will officially begin on February 7 with the inaugural concert “Un viatge musical” (A Musical Journey), held at the Teatre Clavé. This performance will be given by the Banda del Col·legi Santa Maria de Blanes. The program, a collaboration between the association and the Tordera City Council, is supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Barcelona.

"We want to recognize the volunteer work that has kept the sardana activity alive in the municipality and bring the sardana closer to all residents, valuing local tradition and history."

Summer will be the most intensive period of the program. Between June and July, the summer course to learn how to dance sardanas will take place, considered a national reference proposal. Additionally, there will be audicions every Friday in the Plaça de l’Església and folk dances on Saturdays in July.
Among the most innovative proposals is the special “sardanes i estrelles” (sardanas and stars) audition scheduled for July at Plaça 1 d’Octubre, which will combine dance with astronomical observation. On October 17, coinciding with the Fira del Conte (Story Fair), the organization aims to achieve the largest sardana ever danced in Tordera, a challenge open to all citizens.
