The closing ceremony took place at the Church of the Assumption of Mary and included a solemn mass presided over by the Bishop of Tortosa, Sergi Gordo i Rodríguez, with the attendance of about twenty members of the Order of the Hospital.
Following the mass, the 1150 donation letter was symbolically read and staged by Cristòfol Pons, reviving the foundational moment. The day concluded with a concert by the Coral Aquae choir of La Unió Filharmònica, directed by Núria Ferré.
This donation, made by Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Barcelona and Prince of Aragon, was pivotal for the historical and institutional development of the municipality.
Over time, the donation led to the creation of the Priory of Catalonia and Aragon of the Order of the Hospital, known as the Castellania d’Amposta, which was headquartered in the city for nearly 130 years, consolidating Amposta as a major medieval political and religious center.
