The Trinitari Fabregat Library in Alcanar will host the presentation of Correllengua Agermanat next Friday, February 27, a project aimed at strengthening the unity of the Catalan language.

Inspired by the Basque Korrika, this initiative plans to cover more than 1,500 kilometers across 17 stages. The route will symbolically connect Northern Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, Alghero, and Catalonia between April 19 and May 5, 2026.
The event in the Montsià region will start at 7:30 PM and is open to the public. Organizers will explain the logistics of the non-competitive run and the cultural activities surrounding the Flame of the Language, the central symbol of the journey.
In Alcanar, the main event will take place on April 24, when the flame passes through the town. Organizers are encouraging local groups and individuals to participate in this collective celebration of Catalan language and culture.
