The Alcanar City Council has organized a special program for March 8th, International Women's Day, blending solidarity sports, urban reflection, and cultural events to promote gender equality.

The main event takes place this Sunday, March 8th, with a community walk starting at the Civic Center at 10:30 AM. Participants can choose between 4km and 8km routes. Part of the 5-euro registration fee will benefit the Terres de l'Ebre Cancer League and Libèl·lules dels Estels.

"We continue working so that the gender perspective is present in all areas of the municipality, promoting actions that make inequalities visible."

The program also features 'exploratory marches' on March 16th and March 30th in Alcanar and Les Cases d'Alcanar to evaluate urban safety. On March 21st, the play Una cita amb la Brigitta will be performed at the José Antonio Valls Auditorium Theatre.
