The Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) received a donation of 215 tons of rice this March, resulting from a sustainability project in the Montsià region.

The Solidarity Rice program increased its production by 5% compared to the previous campaign. This circular economy initiative transforms Nespresso coffee grounds into high-quality compost used by the Montsià Rice Chamber in the Ebro Delta.
This year's donation will provide 860.000 meals to more than 9.500 people. Since 2011, the program has distributed a total of 1.967 tons of rice across Spain.
