Neus Sancho to be PSC's candidate for Alcanar mayor in 2027

The current deputy mayor and regional councilor has been unanimously chosen to lead the socialist candidacy.

The local PSC group in Alcanar has unanimously designated Neus Sancho as its candidate for mayor in the 2027 municipal elections, aiming to consolidate a transformative project in the town.

Neus Sancho, the current first deputy mayor of the Alcanar City Council and a regional councilor for Montsià, has been unanimously selected as the PSC's candidate for mayor of Alcanar in the 2027 municipal elections. Sancho has an extensive background in municipal politics, having begun her role as a councilor in 2018.
After serving in opposition, Sancho joined the municipal government last year, taking on the role of first deputy mayor and responsibilities for the areas of Brigade, Governance, and Strategic Projects. Concurrently, since 2023, she has served as a regional councilor in the Montsià Regional Council, contributing to areas such as sports, culture, tourism, and civil protection, and she chairs the Montsià Sports Council.
Following her designation, Sancho expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by the party members and conveyed her enthusiasm and sense of responsibility for the challenge. She highlighted the work carried out in recent years within the municipal government and reaffirmed the party's goal of winning the upcoming elections to drive new transformations in Alcanar.
Beyond her political career, Neus Sancho also maintains an active connection with the local associative fabric, serving as the president of a martial arts association in the town.
