The coordinated action between the Town Council of La Ràpita and the Local Police has resulted in the arrest of three individuals suspected of stealing cabling in the Rajolar industrial estate. The incidents followed two consecutive cable thefts from a unit within the estate.
With the aim of protecting local businesses and preventing further crimes, the Town Council organized a special surveillance operation involving plainclothes officers. As part of the strategy, a coil of cable was left at the site of previous thefts, anticipating the perpetrators' return.
The operation allowed officers to catch the suspects as they attempted to access the location again. Police observed two individuals fleeing on foot and a third waiting in a parked vehicle nearby.
As a result of the operation, three men, aged 25, 50, and 52, have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the thefts. The detainees have been handed over to judicial authorities.
