The towns of Algerri and Balaguer, in La Noguera, concentrate cultural and festive activities this weekend, featuring four days of popular celebrations and the performance of a renowned clown artist.

The winter festival in Algerri begins on Saturday, January 31 with a four-day program combining tradition, music, and theatre. The kickoff will be the children's show by La Marieta Voltereta, focused on values like empathy, followed by a popular dinner at the social venue expected to gather around 150 attendees.
The inaugural night in Algerri will feature a diverse musical offering, including Cuban son reinterpreted by Sonsonite and DJ sets by Kylans, Eric Mass, and Mangs. On Sunday, the festive program continues with an acoustic concert by Christian Mòdol during vermouth hour and a performance by Cocktail Elegante in the evening.
Simultaneously, Balaguer prepares to welcome one of the most prominent figures in contemporary clowning. Pepe Viyuela will present his most personal show, Encerrona, at La Mercantil on Sunday, February 1 at 6:00 PM.

The work invites reflection on the social pressure for success and the importance of accepting one's imperfections, offering a theatrical experience that combines humor with a profound look at the human condition.

The celebrations in Algerri will last until Tuesday, including more traditional and religious acts in honor of Candelera and Sant Blai. There will also be film screenings, such as Lilo and Stitch, and the performance by the theatre group Lo Riu de Balaguer with the comedy Quan ell és ell... i ella.
