The city of Balaguer has launched a unique summer activity inviting participants to discover the history of gold prospecting in the Segre River.

This initiative, which has become one of the town's most distinctive summer offerings, is open to all ages. The aim is to introduce attendees to the tradition of river gold mining.
Sessions will take place every Wednesday and Saturday, running until August 29th. The meeting point for all participants will be the Segre Gold Centre, at 11:00 AM.
The experience begins at the Interpretation Centre, where participants will receive the necessary equipment for prospecting. Afterwards, they will head to the riverbank to learn the fundamental manual techniques for separating small gold particles.
