The outdoor exhibition has been installed in shop windows and the town hall, allowing a visual tour through the streets of Ponts using photographs that document representative moments and rituals of Lo Ranxo throughout history.
The exhibition transforms the urban space into a stage of living memory, bringing the past and present of the celebration into dialogue with the daily life of the town.
This initiative strengthens the cultural component of the festival and highlights the importance of the photographic archive in transmitting collective memory. The exhibition will remain open throughout February, integrating into the daily life of the municipality.
The inauguration coincides with the start of the calendar of preliminary events leading up to the central week of Lo Ranxo, which will culminate on Carnival Tuesday. The program includes contemporary leisure, family activities, sports events, and a cultural cycle at the municipal auditorium.
The programming will conclude with the arrival of the Carnival and the official start of the Lo Ranxo week, from February 13 to 17, featuring massive and identity-defining activities such as parades, the traditional Lali-Lali, and the distribution of the Ranxo stew on Carnival Tuesday.
