The Roca dels Bous archaeological site in Sant Llorenç de Montgai has introduced a new virtual reality experience this February to showcase Middle Paleolithic life.

The project, titled Roca dels Bous Immers, uses interactive headsets and AI to transport visitors 50,000 years into the past. Participants can experience how Neanderthals lived, hunted, and organized themselves through various interactive challenges such as making fire or cooking.

"The goal is to offer this virtual initiative permanently starting from Easter."

Developed by the UAB Prehistory Archaeological Heritage Study Center, the activity is available on weekends throughout February and March. This digital approach aims to complement the physical visit to the site with an emotional and educational perspective.
