A total of 413 students from Alt Pirineu and Aran began the University Entrance Exams (PAU) this Tuesday, which will last until Thursday and are being held at tribunals in La Seu d'Urgell, Tremp, and Vielha.

In La Seu d'Urgell, 244 students have started the exams normally. Most of the tests are taking place in the Sant Domènec hall, while some specific exams will be held at the CETAP. Of these students, 84 are from Institut Joan Brudieu, 52 from Institut Pere Borrell in Puigcerdà, one from the Institut Obert de Catalunya (IOC), and 107 are from Andorra, only taking exams for the specific phase.
In Tremp, 99 students from Noguera are participating in the PAU. Of these, 45 are from INS de Tremp, 26 from the Institut de la Pobla de Segur, 25 from Hug Roger III de Sort, two are independent candidates, and one is from the IOC.
For the sixth consecutive year, the exams are also being held in Aran. The tribunal in Vielha hosts 70 students, 42 from the Institut d'Aran and 28 from the Institut del Pont de Suert.
As a main novelty this year, a pilot test with electronic device detectors is being implemented to prevent illegitimate assistance. These devices, similar to walkie-talkies, detect signals from mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, and digital pens. They will be used randomly in all tribunals. Students have been instructed that devices must be turned off and stored; detected use will result in expulsion from the exam or annulment of tests.
Provisional results will be published on June 23rd, and final results on June 29th, assuming no review requests. Review requests can be made on June 25th, 26th, and 29th, with results released on July 7th.
