The C-28 highway reopened to traffic this Monday, March 2nd, at approximately 6:45 PM, following a nearly week-long closure caused by a landslide between Baqueira and the Bonaigua pass.

According to the Department of Territory, all roads managed by the Esterri d'Àneu Conservation Park are now fully operational. The incident began last Wednesday night when a 60-meter long and 8-meter high section of a retaining wall collapsed onto the road.
The reopening restores a vital transport link in the Pyrenees, ending six days of traffic disruption caused by the structural failure on the mountain pass.
