The C-28 highway reopened to traffic this Monday at 6:45 PM, restoring the direct link between Pallars Sobirà and the Aran Valley after a six-day closure caused by a landslide.

According to the Department of Territory, the incident that had kept the road closed since last Wednesday has been resolved. All roads managed by the Generalitat within the Esterri d'Àneu Conservation Park are now fully operational.
The closure was triggered by the collapse of a 60-meter-long, eight-meter-high retaining wall. Beyond the debris on the road, technicians had to stabilize loose rocks in adjacent areas to ensure the safety of the mountainside before allowing vehicles to pass.
For nearly a week, travelers were forced to take a significant detour through La Pobla de Segur and Alta Ribagorça to travel between the two regions. This disruption affected both local residents and tourists visiting the Baqueira ski area and the Port de la Bonaigua pass.
