The First Section of the Navarra Provincial Court has revoked the dismissal order issued last November 6, upholding the appeal filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The decision mandates the practice of new investigative procedures in the case of the minor, who was allegedly sold by her parents for 5,000 euros and five bottles of whisky.
“"There are indications of criminality against the defendants, making the archiving of the present case absolutely premature."
Evidence suggests the minor was sold in January 2025 to marry a 21-year-old man. The young girl was located at the defendants' residence in Mollerussa. Furthermore, the judicial resolution notes that the minor may have been engaged in begging and potentially criminal actions, having been found by the Mossos d'Esquadra in Bellpuig on September 9, 2025, and in Borges Blanques on October 4.
The Court emphasizes that the minor's lack of schooling—she is not attending class despite the defendants presenting a birth certificate claiming she would study in Lleida—could lead to severe sanctions for the parents, including prison sentences for non-compliance with parental authority.
Among the requested procedures is the testimony of a key witness who was allegedly threatened and provided crucial data, such as photographs of the wedding celebration, the Facebook profile of the alleged husband, and the price of the minor's sale.
