The Mollerussa City Council has launched a comprehensive reform of its municipal ordinances to adapt to current economic realities, including a significant parking fee hike in March 2026.

Mayor Marc Solsona announced that the blue zone parking rates will increase from 45 to 70 cents per hour. This 50% rise follows over a decade of frozen prices. Officials noted that despite the increase, rates remain lower than in neighboring cities like Lleida or Tàrrega.
Two new ordinances will be introduced: one to regulate electric vehicle charging stations on public roads and another for private sponsorships of municipal activities. Additionally, the construction tax (ICIO) will be set at 3%, and mobility rules have been updated to include electric scooters and bicycles.

"The current ordinance dates back to 1998, and prices have not been updated for more than ten years."

The council also plans to fast-track 120,000 euros for a new fence at the Ignasi Peraire school. Other agenda items include the de-listing of the Cal Safont building on Generalitat Avenue due to its structural ruin, allowing for its eventual demolition.
