Mayors from the Pla d'Urgell region met this Wednesday, March 4th, with Health Minister Olga Pané in Mollerussa to address the critical lack of doctors in small towns.

The meeting highlighted the frequent closure of local clinics and the absence of daily medical staff. Due to poor public transport links, many residents find it difficult to travel to larger medical centers in Mollerussa for basic healthcare needs.
Minister Olga Pané suggested a partnership with local town halls to introduce administrative roles that would handle paperwork for doctors. This strategy aims to allow medical professionals to focus on patient care and improve the overall efficiency of rural health services.

"We are not leaving satisfied with the answers we have been given, but we will collaborate to find solutions."
