Filmmaker Pol Aguilera Anguera presented his new short film Canvi de plans in Mollerussa this February, a documentary project featuring members of the Acudam association.

Young director Pol Aguilera Anguera, trained at ESCAC, has turned his personal connection with the Acudam organization into an honest cinematic work. The project, titled Canvi de plans, moves away from disability clichés to focus on the adaptability of a group of fourteen people facing an unexpected setback during their annual beach trip.

"In 'Canvi de plans', inclusion is explained through everyday life"

The story stems from mutual trust, as the director's mother has worked at the association for years. According to Aguilera, the goal was to capture the protagonists' spontaneity without forcing the narrative, allowing the documentary to breathe through the users' real reactions to the construction work preventing them from enjoying the sea.
The filming involved eighteen people and represented a logistical and creative challenge for the Mollerussa filmmaker. Currently, the director is already working on a new documentary project that will continue to explore social reality from a close perspective, maintaining his commitment to independent cinema in Pla d'Urgell.
