The Mossos d'Esquadra, the Bombers de la Generalitat, and residents of Vilanova de Bellpuig have been searching since Wednesday for Ramon Carulla Argilés, the constructor who disappeared after a house he was renovating collapsed.

Emergency services and residents in Vilanova de Bellpuig (Pla d'Urgell) have activated a search operation to locate Ramon Carulla Argilés, 46, a local resident. The man disappeared on Wednesday, January 29, without a trace, shortly after the dwelling he was working on collapsed, injuring four people.

The search is focused on locating the missing person's vehicle, a gray Honda, throughout the surrounding Pla d'Urgell region.

Police sources confirm that the search began following the family's report to the Mossos d'Esquadra and clarify that, for the moment, no criminal proceedings have been opened related to the collapse incident. The constructor reportedly left Vilanova de Bellpuig in his car, a gray Honda with license plate 4383KTZ.
The Bombers de la Generalitat have mobilized ten units, including a helicopter and drones, to try and find the vehicle. Simultaneously, neighbors, supported by the local Town Hall, have organized search parties, while relatives have appealed for public collaboration via social media.
The collapse occurred shortly after six in the morning on Wednesday, when two buildings gave way, possibly due to rainfall in the preceding days. Four men, who were laborers living in the adjacent house, were injured. The Bombers carried out a complex rescue, freeing the two trapped men at 7:30 AM and after 10 AM, respectively.
