The Spanish triathlon team achieved a total of 36 medals across the elite, U23, and junior categories during the European Multisport Triathlon Championship, held in Banyoles. This success allowed Spain to lead the final medal table with a significant advantage over other nations. The competition brought together over 3,000 participants around the Lake of Banyoles.
Medals began to accumulate early. In the European Duathlon Championship, María Varo took silver, while Lucía Gracia and Jarno Pousada secured U23 gold. Paco Martí added a U23 silver. In the junior category, Alba Núñez won gold and María Tenorio took bronze. The male trio of Arcadi Sala, Jonay Álvarez, and Manuel Prada dominated the podium, securing first, second, and third place respectively.
In the European Cross Triathlon Championship, Marina Muñoz and Eneko de Castro achieved a Spanish one-two in the elite category. Elsa Pena earned U23 silver, and junior Alba Núñez claimed her second gold. Amanda García and Óscar Giral secured bronze medals. In Cross Duathlon, Lucía Gracia took U23 silver and Javier Álvarez U23 bronze. The junior category was dominated by Spanish athletes such as Óscar Giral and María Tenorio.
In the women's Cross Duathlon category, Luz Ferrández finished second and Amanda García third. The Aquathlon also brought significant results for the national team, with gold for Jonay Álvarez (junior) and silver for Marina Muñoz (elite). Jonay Álvarez was crowned elite European champion, followed by Hugo Fernández (U23 runner-up) and Kevin Tarek Viñuela (U23 bronze), completing an all-Spanish elite podium.
The U23 and junior Aquathlon podiums were also led by national athletes. Marta Novo secured U23 bronze. In the Middle Distance Triathlon, Mikel Arrasate won gold and Guillem Montiel took silver. Helena Alberdi secured the women's bronze.
Great Britain led the overall medal table with 191 medals, followed by Spain with 161 and France with 88.
