The Ebro Hydrographic Confederation (CHE) is maintaining a controlled water release this Tuesday at the Riba-roja d'Ebre, Flix, and Mequinenza dams to manage the river's rising flow.

The operation aims to stabilize the water flow through the lower Ebro at approximately 1,500 to 1,600 cubic meters per second. Authorities expect these levels to persist through Wednesday afternoon, with regulated flows continuing until Friday.
Rising water levels have already caused minor flooding in low-lying areas of Miravet, Aldover, Móra d'Ebre, and Xerta. Civil Protection has issued warnings for agricultural estates and riverside facilities.
In towns like Ascó, local authorities have closed access to the riverbanks. Residents are advised to move machinery and vulnerable materials away from riverside orchards due to potential sudden surges from upstream tributaries.
