On July 12th and 13th, Flix will transform into the capital of Catalan pastry and bakery with the celebration of GastroDolç, an event bringing together leading industry artisans.

The new edition of GastroDolç in Flix promises two intense days dedicated to the world of sweets, blending tradition, innovation, and local products. The event will feature a wide array of renowned artisans, bakers, pastry chefs, and cooks from across Catalonia.
This year, the event will have a prominent star: Jordi Roca, from the prestigious restaurant El Celler de Can Roca. The pastry chef will headline the closing session with his presentation ‘Desserts from El Celler de Can Roca‘, sharing his creative universe where he transforms memories and emotions into sweet creations.
The event's lineup includes other notable figures. Rafael Muria, chef at Quatre Molins restaurant, will kick off the first day with a sweet and healthy breakfast focused on honey. From Barcelona, Esther Real and Gerard Gil of Forn Gil, holders of awards like the Best Chocolate Coca de Sant Joan 2024, will participate. Also present will be the Sistaré family (Reus), Eduard Verdaguer (Panactics), and Roger Canela (PanPanBread), named Best Baker of Catalonia 2022.
Local talent will play a significant role with Pau Carranza (Pastisseria Larrosa de Flix), recognized for the Best Artisan Butter Croissant in Spain; Àlex Lera, awarded for the Best Catalan Cheese Cake 2025 and Best Bonbon of Spain 2025; and young Flix pastry chef Llorenç Peral, the Best Chocolate Coca de Sant Joan 2026.
The second day will focus on training with the participation of Oliver Fernández and Lluïsa Estrada from the School of Pastry of the Barcelona Guild (EPGB). Their presence underscores the guild's support for an event that has established itself as a benchmark for sweet culture in Catalonia. The event will feature a technical session by Oriol Balaguer, followed by the final closing demonstration by Jordi Roca.
GastroDolç will take place at the Municipal Market of Flix with free admission and live streaming via YouTube. The event continues to be a platform for promoting the agri-food products of the Terres de l'Ebre region and showcasing local talent.
