The festive season began in autumn with the celebration of the Elderly People's Day on October 12 and the Castanyada (Chestnut Festival) on October 30, where the children from Escola El Verger were the protagonists with various performances. Previously, on November 9, the Santa Magdalena hermitage hosted the concert of the “Music in the Hermitages” cycle.
The Christmas cycle officially began on December 5 with the traditional lighting of the lights in the Plaça de Catalunya, where the traditional pine tree was also planted. December 21 was a key day, as the Christmas Fair was held in the Plaça de l'Església Vella and the popular Living Nativity Scene filled the old town with history and emotion.
The population of Garcia bid farewell to 2025 and welcomed 2026 with the usual preparations. Shortly after, the magic of Their Majesties filled the town with excitement on the most anticipated night of the year, concluding the main Christmas celebrations.
Now, the focus shifts to the celebration of Sant Antoni in January 2026. The program includes three days of festivities with the traditional popular wild boar dinner and the blessing of animals, keeping alive one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the Ribera d'Ebre region.
