The judicial route in Andorra, promoted by the IDHA and Drets, has been joined by the brothers Higini and Ramon Cierco, owners of BPA, and part of the Pujol-Ferrusola family. The summary implicates former President Mariano Rajoy and former ministers Cristóbal Montoro and Jorge Fernández Díaz, as well as members of the police leadership at the time.
The offensive is based on the statements made by former Andorran ministers Jordi Cinca and Gilbert Saboya, who on November 4 opened a gap in the investigation into how financial authorities acted to force the intervention of the banking entity. IDHA lawyers have presented a 21-page brief detailing their suspicions.
Could it be that his direct involvement in his different positions has something to do with it?
In parallel, the Junts per Catalunya group in the Congress, led by deputies Josep Pagès and Míriam Nogueras, has submitted a request to declassify documentation referring only to Sepblac, using the investigation commission on Operation Catalonia. This maneuver follows the precedent set by the declassification of documents related to the 17-A attacks.
This request seeks to shed light on the interest shown by the then Secretary of State for Economy, Íñigo Fernández de Mesa, who chaired the Sepblac Permanent Committee and met with Andorran ministers in April 2015, a month and a half after the BPA intervention, despite it being a banking entity from another country.
