Lleida-Alguaire Airport received yesterday, February 8, 2026, the first charter flight of the winter season carrying 117 Swedish skiers, who are heading to spend a week in Andorra.

The flight originating from Gothenburg landed at Alguaire Airport carrying 117 travelers organized by the Swedish tour operator Quality Travel. Following their arrival, the skiers were transferred via two buses directly to the slopes of Andorra, where they will spend a week.
Airport Director Xavier Gómez pointed out that this is the first Quality Travel operation since 2022 and confirmed that the route will remain active with weekly flights between Lleida and Sweden until the end of March.

"We hope this will be a profitable season, and we are aware that there is demand to come to Alguaire from Sweden."

Xavier Gómez · Director of Alguaire Airport
This seasonal commercial activity complements the weekly routes the airport maintains with Palma de Mallorca and contrasts with Alguaire's "usual" activity, which is primarily focused on pilot training and aircraft maintenance.
Gómez added that, due to the increase in activity, the current urban plan for the infrastructure is "practically exhausted," and a new one is already being processed to accommodate future growth.
