The Animac festival has brought Hollywood glamour to Lleida this weekend, featuring producer Ron Dyens and his Oscar statuette alongside renowned director Nora Twomey.

Attendees at La Llotja had the rare opportunity to see the Oscar won by the animated film Flow. Producer Ron Dyens presented sessions focused on independent animation, celebrating the success of a project that also secured a Golden Globe in 2025.
The event also honored Nora Twomey, the Honorary Award recipient from Cartoon Saloon. With five Academy Award nominations to her name, Twomey delivered a masterclass on using animation for social engagement and emotional storytelling.

"I have learned more from mistakes than from successes. When you face difficult times, working with others keeps the project moving forward."
