The La Femosa Cultural Association has released the book Els solcs de l'arada. Records més o menys endreçats in Artesa de Lleida, honoring the life and work of Adolf Costafreda i Castillo.

The book features writings from around 2010 by the town's first democratic mayor and founder of the cultural group in 1967. Accompanied by 200 photographs, the work documents the evolution of rural life in the Segrià region since the post-war period.

"Adolf Costafreda is the great folklorist of Artesa de Lleida; he wrote over a thousand pages on popular culture."

Beyond personal anecdotes, the publication highlights Costafreda's research into local archaeology and linguistics. His recordings of 19th-century residents have been digitized by the Generalitat to preserve the unique local dialect for future generations.
