Acclaimed writer David Uclés drew a record-breaking crowd in Lleida this Tuesday for the presentation of his latest novel, La ciudad de las luces muertas, at the Morera Museum.

Organized by la irreductible bookstore, the event was so popular that over fifty people had to be turned away due to capacity limits. The session was moderated by Anna Sàez, director of the SEGRE newspaper, in a packed auditorium.

"David Uclés could have filled a room with a capacity for 250 people."

This turnout represents a fourfold increase compared to his first visit in December 2024. The author's connection with Lleida began with his previous work, La península de las casas vacías, which gained popularity through local booksellers' recommendations and word-of-mouth.
