Retailers in Lleida have reported a significant slowdown in sales during February due to adverse weather conditions affecting the Eix Comercial and Zona Alta districts.

Despite a strong start on January 7th, constant rain and wind alerts have kept potential customers away from the streets. This has led to a decrease in impulse purchases, which are vital for local commerce.

"We started well, but during the storm days we have been more stagnant. People don't go out for a walk in the rain."

The Zona Alta district was forced to postpone its Sales Market due to wind. The event is now scheduled for February 19th and 20th at Ricard Viñes square, while the Eix Comercial will hold its market from February 26th to 28th.
