The Lleida region celebrated its annual Carnival festivities this February 15th, with thousands of residents participating in outdoor parades after strong winds finally gave way to calmer weather.

In Lleida city, the character Pau Pi delivered a satirical speech focusing on urban mobility before leading a parade of nearly 40 floats through the Cappont neighborhood. The event included a sensory-friendly section at the start for individuals with noise sensitivity.

"Lleida is a city that seems to improve, but never quite ends up being completely fine."

The town of Tàrrega saw one of the largest turnouts with over 1,500 people in 74 groups, featuring costumes that poked fun at local issues. Other significant celebrations took place in Balaguer, Mollerussa, and Cervera, marking a successful weekend for traditional Catalan winter festivities.
