The Club Esportiu Atlètic Lleida 2019 filed a registration request with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office on July 21, 2023. The move became public in late October, leading Lleida CF to evaluate legal measures to protect its brand identity and avoid public confusion between the two entities.

Amidst the legal friction, local journalist Oriol Jové is working on a historical project to document the pioneers of the club since its 1939 foundation as Lérida Balompié, seeking collaboration from families to complete the players' database.
