The Catalan Government has confirmed that Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) will take over the management of the Manresa to Lleida line during 2026, replacing the current Renfe service.

The move aims to replicate the success of the La Pobla de Segur line, which has seen a steady increase in passengers since 2006. The plan for the RL3 line includes increasing frequency to 14 daily trips in each direction between Lleida and Cervera.
Additionally, FGC will manage nine stations in the Ponent area that are currently in poor condition. However, the tracks remain under Adif control, raising concerns about whether infrastructure improvements will be completed by autumn.
