The legendary Casa Tiell restaurant in Lleida is set to close its doors next week after 71 years of operation, ending a family legacy that began in 1955.

Owner Neus Prunera announced the business transfer after a lifetime dedicated to the project. Located in the Noguerola neighborhood since 2004, the restaurant will host a farewell event on Saturday, February 28, to honor its loyal customers before a new owner takes over the premises.

"They have never failed me, and I want to share this moment with them to thank them for their loyalty and support all these years."

Originally founded at Placa Ramon Berenguer IV by Joan Tiell, the restaurant became a local institution. Although the Tiell family is retiring, the venue will reopen shortly under new management with a different culinary style.
