Housing sales in Lleida increase by 3.2% in November

Real estate transactions in the province of Ponent totaled 581 operations, while the overall increase in Catalonia was 2.3%.

The province of Lleida registered 581 housing purchase and sale operations during November 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, according to data published by the INE.

Catalonia as a whole closed November with 8,794 transactions, representing a 2.3% increase compared to the previous year, according to the Property Rights Transfer Statistics from the National Institute of Statistics (INE). This increase means Catalonia has linked three consecutive months of year-on-year growth, although the pace has moderated slightly from the 3% recorded in October and the 6% in September.
The nearly 8,800 operations registered in November in Catalonia also represent the highest figure for this month since 2022, when 8,897 transactions were counted.
By demarcation, Lleida (+3.2%), Girona (+7.1%), and Tarragona (+7.8%) experienced increases, with Tarragona leading the growth. Barcelona was the only Catalan province where sales slightly decreased, with a drop of 0.13% year-on-year.
Regarding Spain as a whole, housing sales increased by 7.8% annually, reaching 58,646 operations. Of these, 93.6% corresponded to free market housing and 78.2% were second-hand properties.
