The astronomical event is expected to generate an economic impact of approximately 300,000 euros for the city. Tickets for the two main observation points, els Mangraners (capacity for 10,000 people) and the Seu Vella (2,000 people), are completely sold out. Around seventy experts and media representatives will follow the phenomenon live.
Despite tickets being sold out, individuals without access to els Mangraners may enter if capacity allows. To ensure safety, approximately 200 professionals will be involved in a special operation that began yesterday afternoon with the closure of access roads to the Seu Vella and the els Mangraners football field.
Morón advised against accessing the Seu Vella by private vehicle, suggesting alternative park-and-ride facilities at Barrris Nord and the Camp d’Esports. From the latter, a shuttle bus service with 15-minute frequencies will connect to the Seu Vella. Els Mangraners will have a parking area with 4,000 spaces, including 25 for people with reduced mobility, and a secure bicycle parking area.
Public transport line L-7 will be reinforced with a special eclipse bus, and its service frequency to els Mangraners will be increased. Given the forecast for high temperatures, the Pavelló dels Mangraners and the Canonja de la Seu Vella have been designated as climate shelters.
It is recommended that those without tickets do not travel to the designated observation points, especially the Seu Vella due to its limited space. At els Mangraners, entry may be permitted if capacity allows, although it is not advisable. Preventive surveillance and police presence will be increased in areas with high public concentration to ensure rapid response to any incidents. Parking on roads will also be prohibited.
