The Lleida region begins its fruit tree flowering season this February, a natural spectacle that attracts thousands of tourists and marks the start of the agricultural cycle.

Rising temperatures and recent rains have accelerated the natural process in regions such as Segrià and Urgell. Towns like Aitona, a European leader in peach production, are preparing to welcome visitors to their more than eight thousand hectares of orchards.
The activity calendar runs until April. In the Segrià area, towns including Massalcoreig, Seròs, Alcarràs, and Lleida city have scheduled panoramic routes. Meanwhile, in Urgell, the town of Vilagrassa will host guided walks among almond trees on March 8th.
This celebration, reminiscent of ancient traditions dedicated to the goddess Demeter, holds both aesthetic and economic significance for the local community, rewarding farmers for their winter efforts.
