Promoters Eurofund Group and Frey laid the first stone of the Shopping Promenade Lleida this Thursday, marking the start of a project scheduled to open in late 2027.

The 56,000-square-meter complex in the Torre Salses district represents a 145 million euro investment. It aims to fill a gap in the local market, as Lleida was previously one of the few Spanish provinces without a major retail park. The project is expected to generate 400 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect positions.

"People should be able to shop wherever they want, and we must ensure we meet all the needs of our commercial demand."

In addition to retail spaces, the developers will invest nearly 10 million euros in public infrastructure, including road access improvements. Ion Saralegui, CEO of Eurofund, emphasized that the park will feature large stores alongside smaller local shops and 20,000 square meters of green areas.
