The Lleida City Council has suspended Carnival activities and closed municipal facilities this February 12th due to forecasts of wind gusts exceeding 70 km/h.

The Emergency Committee met at the Local Police Headquarters to coordinate preventive measures. Authorities have ordered the closure of community centers, daycare facilities, and senior dining halls, while restricting access to parks.

"At the Lleida City Council, we prioritize the safety of people from the very first moment."

Fèlix Larrosa · Mayor of Lleida
In addition to Carnival, classes at municipal schools and the Camp d'Esports market have been cancelled. However, city buses will continue to operate for essential travel.
