Lleida courts admit lawsuit from volunteer firefighters against Generalitat

A group of 171 workers demands labor recognition and permanent staff status after years of precarious conditions.

Social courts in Lleida, Figueres, Granollers, and Terrassa have admitted lawsuits from 171 volunteer firefighters demanding labor rights recognition from the Generalitat of Catalonia this February.

The Social Courts of Lleida, Figueres, Granollers, and Terrassa have accepted the lawsuits filed by the Bombers Precaris en Lluita collective. This legal action seeks the recognition of a standard labor relationship with the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The trial in Lleida, involving 109 of the 171 plaintiffs, is scheduled for September 25. Other hearings will take place in Terrassa on October 7, Granollers on October 28, and Figueres on November 5.
