The Government Sub-delegate in Lleida, José Crespín, led a silent gathering this March 24 in front of the institutional headquarters to condemn the latest gender-based crimes in the country.

Public employees and officials gathered at 12:00 PM to express their rejection of the murder of a 3-year-old girl in Alicante and a 49-year-old woman in Zaragoza. These events, which took place on March 20 and 21, involved perpetrators who committed suicide after the attacks.
So far in 2026, 14 women have been murdered due to gender violence in Spain. Since official records began in January 2003, the total number of victims has reached 1,357.
