The Lleida Provincial Council has launched a 200,000 euro initiative to guarantee equal access to extracurricular activities in 36 municipalities across the province for the 2026-2027 season.

The plan targets local councils involved in the Educació 360 Alliance. Each town will receive a fixed grant of 2,750 euros, plus a variable amount based on student population. This funding aims to promote cultural and community activities that foster social inclusion among children and teenagers.

"This is the first time the institution has reserved a specific budget to directly finance municipal educational actions."

Joan Talarn · President of the Lleida Provincial Council
Key locations such as Lleida, Balaguer, and La Seu d'Urgell are included in the program. The project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4, focusing on quality and inclusive education for all.
