The Lleida City Council has received 7.1 million euros from the developers of Promenade Lleida to fund the expansion of Víctor Torres Avenue, the main access to the future retail park.

Mayor Fèlix Larrosa confirmed the funds are integrated into the 2026 budget. The project will transform the road into a dual carriageway, improving connections between the city center and the La Bordeta and Magraners neighborhoods.
The 50,000 square meter site in Torre Salses will host major brands including Esclat and Yelmo Cines. While the government sees it as a historical opportunity, local business associations like Pimec Comerç worry about the impact on traditional shops in the city center.
