Several educational centers in Lleida have decided to suspend school camps and field trips this February as a pressure tactic to demand better labor and structural conditions.

A week after the latest strike, schools in the Segrià region have intensified their actions. The Santa Maria de Gardeny School has cancelled its school camps, while the Joc de la Bola School has halted all outings indefinitely to protest against the lack of investment in public education.

"If the Department does not guarantee dignified conditions, it cannot continue to demand infinite volunteerism."

The CGT Ensenyament Ponent-Pirineus union stated that these measures reflect a growing unrest among teachers regarding unpaid overtime and excessive workloads. Key demands include lower student-to-teacher ratios and more support staff in schools across Ponent.
