According to the latest forecasts, the city will offer 64 groups for I3 (three-year-olds). This growth is focused on public schools, which will increase from 37 to 39 groups, while subsidized private schools will remain at 25. Total available places will rise to 1,319.
In secondary education, ESO will also see an expansion with one additional group in the first year, bringing the total to 68. This adjustment will increase the capacity to 1,930 places for students in the Segrià capital.
Current statistics show a decline in student numbers since 2020. In Infant education, enrollment has dropped from 4,183 to 3,567 students. Average class sizes currently stand at 18.77 for younger children and 29 for secondary school students.
