The Mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, confirmed that the new Seasonal Worker Reception Center (CAT) will be operational by June 1st to support the upcoming agricultural campaign.

Located in the Creu del Batlle industrial area, near the Horta de Lleida, the project cost 538,968.40 euros. This facility is the first of three planned by the local government to provide dignified housing for those arriving to work in the fruit harvest.

"With the CAT, we hope to dignify the reception of seasonal workers and set an example for surrounding towns to provide similar accommodations out of responsibility."
